Rescuers from Howl Of A Dog never expected the sight that welcomed them while roaming the wooded areas of a nearby city.
Wallowing in the trash-filled forest floor was a very young German Shepherd puppy, all alone and weak. She could barely move due to malnutrition and feeling unwell. Her only source of comfort and warmth was from discarded clothing polluting the ground.

It’s heartbreaking to think how such a lovable pup ended up in the forest this way. But whatever the reason for her abandonment, it didn’t matter to the rescuers anymore. This pup was coming with them.
Such a filthy place isn’t fit for a precious pup, after all!

Puppy Rescue In The Nick Of Time
Nicknamed Zooey by her rescuers, the German Shepherd pup was quickly sent to the vet for a medical evaluation. A compromised immune system of a pup so young could bring all sorts of fatal diseases.
Luckily, all seemed well with Zooey, and her biggest problems were just fleas and lack of food. Nothing a warm medicated bath and some hot meals can’t solve!

But the notable discovery was her age. Zooey was estimated to be younger than three months when she was discarded. Being abandoned at that age was almost a death knell for this pupper. Thank goodness she was rescued before anything happened.
The stars aligned for precious little Zooey, alright!
Getting A Second Chance At Life
After some weeks at the shelter, Zooey immediately showed improvement in her overall health. She was lethargic no more and loved to playfully chase her fellow shelter buddies.

Zooey showed a fondness for dogs and people. She loved everyone she met at the shelter! This made her rescuers confident that Zooey would find her perfect fur-ever home in no time.
